Why is the shoe called the P-38 Lightning?
Our founder, Hank, is a fan of both pickleball and history. The P-38 Lightning is the name of a WW2 fighter plane that is credited by many historians as being the reason why the U.S. won WW2.
Footwear is only one part of your pickleball game, but it's pivotal for your performance to win on the court!
What size shoe should I order?
95% of customers find their P-38 Lightning Pickleball Shoes to be true to size.Â
If you receive your shoes and they are too big or small, you can exchange them for a different size at no cost to you.
I have wide feet. Will these fit me?
Our toe box is on the wider side, and many players with wider feet find our shoes comfortable.
We don't currently have dedicated wide sizes, but we're working on rolling them out, so stay tuned!
How do I clean my shoes?
To clean and maintain your P-38 Lightning Pickleball Shoes, use gentle dish soap to remove dirt and grease. Use a magic eraser to remove marks and scuffs.
Do not use washing machine or dishwasher.
How durable are the shoes?

You just got your new pair of pickleball shoes... what now? Here's the best way to try on your new shoes to ensure the best fit.
- On your first wear, loosen all - and we mean all - of the laces before slipping on your shoes. Tighten laces to a comfortable fit.
- Because of the skin-like fit of the shoe, consider using a shoehorn to easily slip into your shoes when running out to the court.
How do I make a return or an exchange?
To start a return or exchange, contact us with your order number.
You have 20 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must:
- be in the same condition that you received it,
- unused,
- and in its original packaging.
We’ll send you a return shipping label, and you have 10 days to ship the return.
For returns, you will receive a refund to your original payment method within 3-8 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return and you have not received your refund, please contact us.
For exchanges, we will ship your new item when your returned item has been received and processed.
How do I modify or cancel an order?
Contact us with your order number and your request for modification or cancel before your order has shipped.
If your order has already shipped, we can work with you on a return or exchange for your order.
